The Theatre for the City and the City for the Theatre
In its six years of activity, the Foundation has proposed many cultural initiatives and forged strong ties with realities in the Novara area. Our activities aim to give people the space and time to tell their stories and create, because interpreting, putting oneself in the shoes of others, or in other words doing theatre, is the way to experience them directly.
To do is to imagine. Behind every initiative there is a team that imagines, questions, opens up, seeks dialogue and creates opportunities to help build a city where we can do things together.
It goes without saying that theatre, art and culture are the activators of Desire. Precisely for this reason they should be within everyone's reach. But this is not always the case, especially in these times of economic difficulty. Those who desire theatre, culture and encounters with others often find themselves hindered by physical, logistical or economic limitations.
With the Teatro per tutti - Theatre for Everyone project, the Fondazione Nuovo Teatro Faraggiana wants to offer the Novara area creative and courageous solutions, bringing theatre outside the Faraggiana Theatre and the same traditional spaces entrusted to the theatre, and to be a point of reference for maintaining and strengthening social cohesion.
Through a very ancient theatrical practice, the Theatre Chariot (which, since we are talking about Desire, Stars and a course to be found in the dark, will be called the Great Bear Chariot), will act in two directions:
1) bringing theatre outside the city theatre in some municipalities, whose map incredibly draws a Great Bear Chariot.
2) bringing people living outside the city to the theatre, with a bus that will be our Chariot of the Stars.
